Hello! I have a card for the Papertrey Day Three Anniversary challenge. Because Papertrey is offering grab bags again, Nicole challenged us to "grab" whatever supplies we could in 5 minutes and make a card with them. I had some already colored Doodlie Doo die cuts laying around, the Love Live Life stamp set (from the day five challenge), and yellow cardstock and inks. This is another pretty random card - I guess it could be used for encouragement. I am not used to cranking out cards this often!
Pulling out these Doodlie Doo diecuts just reinforces to me that I NEED the new What the Doodle series by Betsy Veldman. I love coloring them! Hope you are having a great day!

Papertrey 2016 Anniversary - Day Five
Hello! I am back again with a card for the Papertrey Anniversary celebrations. Today our challenge was to cut 9 1 1/2" squares of white cardstock and alter each of them differently - either with a technique, color, etc. My first try at this was pretty mundane. I just stamped one of the Tiny Treat Valentine images in each square with red ink. Pretty boring! So I decided to think outside the box and put a different texture on each square. My items are all random - things I had laying around my stamping room. I have no idea when I would ever send a crazy card like this out to someone, but it was fun to make!
I used funky fibers, cloth washi, a wooden bike, a paper dimensional butterfly, glitter tape, rhinestones, a chicken button, felt hearts and the Love, Live, Life stamp set. Also PTI black and white paper. Kind of artsy - what do you think?
Hope you are having a fun day! Enjoy the PTI anniversary days - they will be here and gone before you know it (as well as our money!). :)

Papertrey 2016 Anniversary Day Two
Hello! Today is all about fashion over on Nicole's blog! Betsy Veldman designed a paper doll series and we are celebrating by making a card inspired by a piece of clothing. I just received a Lands End Spring catalog the other day and there was a sweater in there that I LOVE. Here it is:
And here is my card inspired by it. I used Graceful Greetings (love that set!), and Daydreamer. I stamped on watercolor paper and then used a waterbrush to soften the edges of the stamped images.
Thanks for stopping by! I am debating whether the paper doll series is too tiny for my 3 & 4 year old granddaughters. I can see them losing pieces! I guess I have a few days to think about it. Have a great day!

Papertrey 2016 Anniversary Day One
Hello! I am so excited about the Papertrey 9th anniversary festivities over on Nicole's blog! Today is Day One, and Nicole shared that there will be no changes in the PTI design team this year! Yeah! All the uber-talented ladies will be back! That's great news as far as I am concerned, because I think they ROCK the stamping community!
Each Design Team member shared their favorite card from 2015 and the color combo they used on it. The day one challenge is to pick one of the color combos and create a card using it. It was hard to choose one - they are all so beautiful! I ended up with Lizzie's color combo:
This is my attempt to use this color combo and practice my watercoloring skills. I just finished taking the Online Card Class for Intermediate Watercolor Techniques and have a lot of practicing to do! I used the Friendship Jars Spring Fillers stamp set.
I "smooshed" Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores on the background, then heat embossed the tulips in white, then used Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise and Limeade Ice reinkers to watercolor the tulips. The card front is mounted on a Hawaiian Shores card base. Love this color combo - it's so happy!
Enjoy the anniversary festivities and thanks for stopping by!
