Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog! All this week we will be celebrating Papertrey Ink's 5th anniversary. I've been purchasing Papertrey stamps and supplies a little over 2 years now, and have really enjoyed all the inspiration I've received from the Design Team at Papertrey. They are the most talented cardmakers I've seen ANYWHERE! They just keep coming up with new innovative ways to use PTI stamps. And that Nicole Heady! She is AMAZING! I can always count on fabulous projects each month on her blog! Anyway, I want to wish Papertrey Ink a HUGE HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Over on Nicole's blog, she is running a contest to receive a HUGE prize today. Each person on the design team has chosen their top 5 favorite PTI products, and the prize is to receive all 12 designers products! That over 60 different things - stamp sets, cardstock, ribbon, twine and tons of other things! So the contest is to take one of the design team's favorite projects and case something about it. After spending hours looking over their projects, I chose Mish's button cards to case. I just love her style and love to have a cute embellishment to put on the front of my cards. Vintage is definitely my style, so I go to work. I cut out 10 button cards from vintage cream cardstock. Then I chose my focus fabric and cut little bitty background blocks from each coordinating fabric. What I actually used was a charm pack (5" squares of fabric) from Moda. I chose my PTI colors from the fabric - aqua mist, autumn rose, raspberry fizz, spring moss, Hawaiian shores and kraft. I used the Button Boutique stamp set to stamp various styles on the button cards, then started layering with bits of the fabric and leftover scraps and felt flowers I had in my scrap bin. I really like the way they turned out and the fact that I have a nice stash now.
Here are Mish's button cards:
Thanks Mish for the inspiration! Here are my button cards:
