Hello! I made a quick card for this week's Make-it-Monday over on Nicole's blog. Dawn showed us how to stamp a cluster of images in various ombre shades of a color. I like this technique and decided to give it a try.
I used Beautiful Butterflies (a classic!) to make a sympathy card. Blue butterflies always remind me of Hospice, which usually mean you will be needing a sympathy card fairly soon. :( We are going though that with my father-in-law right now. Hospice is a wonderful organization! So caring and supportive - very special people!
Anyway, here is my card for this week's challenge:
A simple card. I did distress the edges - does anyone else do that anymore??? Thanks for stopping by!
Very lovely, your blue ombré looks lovely. Just saw a top-notch designer use distressed edges last week! You're right on trend. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Susan! Love your ombre colored butterflies in blue, and the shading in the background too! And I love the distressed edges of your card...totally still in style!! :0)
ReplyDeleteSusan, your floating butterflies in Ombre Blues made for a comforting sympathy card. Saying a prayer for your FIL!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy! That is so sweet of you!
DeleteBeautiful soft blues, so lovely for your sympathy card! Love your distressed edges, do it often. Makes for a vintage look!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI posted my card and then saw yours in the gallery too. It's so pretty and I love the softness of those blues. Beautifully done!
Amazing! I love the different butterflies in your Ombrre cascade!
