Barrettes for Fall

Hello! Wow - it's been awhile since I've posted anything. It's not like I haven't been doing anything - I just haven't taken the time to post about them. I'll try to be more consistent.

My daughter's family came out a couple weeks ago and we went to a local orchard to pick apples. Of course, I had to make my little 2 year old granddaughter some apple barrettes for the occasion! And that was followed with these pumpkin barrettes.  I used Papertrey's Clever Barrettes dies and Boutique Accessories dies. Both the apple AND pumpkin were die cut with the Teach and Inspire apple. I just turned the apple upside down for the pumpkin. I stitched a highlight on the apples with white pearl cotton, and lines on the pumpkin with embroidery floss. The little tendrils on the pumpkins are rustic jute twine, glued and wrapped around a skewer and heat gun dried. The felt I used was limeade ice, vintage cream, canyon clay, and pure poppy, as well as some scraps of brown from my stash.
Here's a couple pictures of me and my granddaughter picking apples. She is wearing her apple barrettes.

Hope you enjoy them, and I hope she enjoys them  (as much as a two year old can!) haha  Thanks for looking!
