Papertrey 2015 Anniversary - Day Five

Hello! Well, it's Day Five of the Papertrey Ink 8th Anniversary festivities! It's been so much fun so far - lots of goodies introduced and showcased by the DT. My list ever groweth!

Today's challenge by Nicole is to pull out an unused stamp set and USE IT! I pulled out a stamp set I've loved for years, Dot Spot, but never had until recently. I purchased this set from a friend, along with several others, and to this day I have not inked it up! Hard to believe! But now it has been baptized by ink. :)
A la Laura Bassen, I cut the thank you out of the front with WW:Thank You, as well as a few more times with white cardstock, layered them up and fit them back in the card front.

While I'm sharing, I thought I would share a couple cards I was working on last night. I LOVE Doodlie Doo, and can't use it enough. Last night I stamped a couple of the images onto white cardstock and filled in the empty areas with Zentangling. Have you ever tried that? Look it up on Pinterest or google and be prepared to be blown away! It is supposed to be theraputic - like doodling - although I have to get the big guns glasses out to see what I'm doing. Don't look too close - I'm just a novice at Zentangling. Now I need to pull out some other outline images in my stash and give them a try!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Looks like we both had the same idea for our cards with the stacking sentiments...I loved that MIM that Laura Bassen did! Your card turned out beautiful with all the dots and love the color combo you chose! Your Zentangled cards are amazing too! I took a class on it last fall, but haven't done anything else with it since then. I never even thought of using the Doodlie-Do set, but will have to give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration! :0)

  3. I love the colors you used on the first card, and of course black and white is always striking.

  4. Both of your projects are gorgeous! You did a great job with your Zentangled technique. Too much detail for my poor eyes but you did fantastic!

  5. First thing I'm doing on the 15 th is order doodle doo. I love your black and white card! I should have bought that set a long time ago. Oh my gosh you did your own zentangle! I have done it for Serendipity Stamps but just a bit. Love both cards today!!!!!!!!!

  6. Susan, love your camouflaged diecut card, but Doodlie Do zentangled? Wow! Scrumptious! I love how you think outside the box - these have been pinned to my Doodlie Do board, and I may actually try zentangling, since there's not an overwhelming area to cover.
