Papertrey Make-It-Monday#79 - Card Three

Hello! One last card to share with you for the Make-It-Monday #79! This time I cut red polka dot fabric with the Rosey Posey dies, as well as a heart border. The sentiment is from the new Teach & Inspire set. I stamped over the fabric with Pure Poppy Ink using the Rosey Posey stamps. The patterned paper is from a 6 x 6 pad from Basic Grey called Serendipity. Hope you enjoy!

Papertrey Make-It-Monday #79 - Fabric Die Cuts - Card Two

Hello! I really enjoyed using die cuts to cut out fabric on my first MIM#79 card, so I decided to try again. I used the same packet of charm squares as in my first card, but changed the colors up some. This time I used the Rosey Posey die cuts. I wasn't sure how it would look to stamp over top of the fabric with the stamps, but I really like how they turned out! The only thing I'd like to improve on is to figure out how to stop the fabric from fraying. Even when the die cuts all the way through, the edges still tend to fray. I guess that's ok to some extent, since it is fabric. So here's my second attempt.

I also used the Perfect Patches dies to cut out a patch of coordinating fabric and stitched it to the card. I popped up the roses with foam tape and bent up the leaves on the ends for dimension. I also used the Guide Lines Grid impression plate on the background. Hope you enjoy it!

Papertrey 5th Anniversary Day Seven - Card #1

Hello! Back again with a card for the contest Nicole Heady has running over here on her blog for the Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary festivities. The challenge was to make a card using hearts. That one was easy, as I am in the middle of making Valentines for my family. This one holds a special place in my heart - it's a Valentine for my first grandchild - little 5 month old Chloe. It's my favorite of all the valentines I've made.

I used Quilter's Additions for the sentiment on the right, Tag-It's #11 for the sentiment on the left, and one of the sentiments from Tiny Treats Valentine for the faux ribbon. Also used the Rosey Posey set. I  used the heart border die and one of the Fillable Frames dies. Thanks for looking!

Papertrey Anniversary Day Two - Card #3

Hello! I'm back again with my third card for the Papertrey 5th Anniversary Day two challenge. The stamp designers at Papertrey each designed a cute little image for us to download and use in our projects. There is a fabulous prize for this challenge - each of the designers picked their favorite stamp set, and the prize is ALL of them! You can read about the challenge here on Nicole Heady's blog.
For this card, I chose to work with Maile Belles image "Hello". I just love her simple style of cards, so I decided to keep this card simple. I used a kraft card base, the 1 3/4" Limitless layers scalloped circle to frame the Hello image, and the Rosey Posey stamp set for the background. I also added a little red ribbon to the left side to bring out the red of the scalloped mat. Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Rosey Posey cards

Hello! I am posting a couple cards I made using the Papertrey Rosey Posey set. This set is so versatile! I loved it from the moment I go t it, but even more once I saw the shading techniques Amber used on her card sets here on her blog. She is an amazing card maker, and so giving - she's provided so may templates for free on her blog - you NEED to check them out! Anyway, I thought I'd give this shading technique a try. I used copics instead of the colored pencils Amber used. The colored pencils probably would have given you a little more control, and I may have to give them a try at some point, but I like the way these turned out. It takes a while to do all the shading. I did a big 8 x 11 piece of cardstock and then cut it into quarters to place on the front of cards. Did I say it took quite a while to do all the shading??? But it was worth it! Here are my cards:

I used PTI Royal Velvet and Melon Berry cardstock for the card bases, Versamagic Tea leaves and Spring Pansy ink, and PTI melon berry and aqua mist ink. The ribbons were from an Offray outlet near me. Thanks for looking!
