Bikes, Bikes Everywhere!

Hello! I wanted to share some of the bikes I created using Papertrey's Pedal Pusher stamp set and dies. They are SO MUCH FUN! There are endless possibilities. Some of my favorite bikes are the ones that are heat embossed with Zing embossing powder - they look shiny just like a real bike. And the basket fillers - they are adorable - I can't wait to look through my stamps to find other things that "fit". Here are some of the bikes I made, and a few of the cards I've put them on.

This bike is a semi case of Betsy Veldman's card here. I even bought the picket fence die this release because I loved her card so much. I used a MFT die for the grass, and PTI Life stamps for the flowers (which were stamped in kraft). The little clouds and sunshine are from one of the Heart 2 Heart sets. I used Leaf Zing embossing powder on the bike frame. You can see a close up below.
This bike frame was embossed with Judikins metalic silver powder - turns out this is not very good with details - I'll have to try another silver. Again, see the close up below. The trees and clouds are from WMS Teeny Trees, and the bike paper is from Colorbok.
This bike is a semi case of Melissa Phillip's card here.  The bike is embossed with Blush embossing powder - love the pinkness of it! The flowers (as on Melissa's card) are from Daydreamer - grass, and Mini Blooms - flowers (thanks for coming up with this combination Melissa - I can see using these flowers on lots of projects!) The banner is from Bountiful Banners and the sunshine from a H2H set.

Bike embossed with Aqua Zing embossing powder.

Bike embossed with Judikins metallic silver embossing powder. Note the detail lost in the chain area.

Embossed with Ranger Black Sparkle embossing powder. Very sparkly!

Embossed with Red embossing tinsel -(can't tell what the brand is - label is off)  Very sparkly!

Bikes yet to be put on a card. :)

What fun this is! I love this new PTI set!!!

Thank You card set

Hello! I was in need of some thank you cards for my Mother's Day gifts. I had made this set awhile ago, but it has been sitting in my drawer, waiting for something. I had cut the letters for "Thanks" out of PTI cardstock in various colors (after running the cardstock through my xyron first), using the Papertrey Block Alphabet. I liked them alright, but CAS isn't really my style - it felt like they were missing something. So today I got the bright idea to add paint splashes using Water color Wonder in the same colors as the letters. I really like how they turned out! Hope you do too - and I hope my kids do too :). So, without any further ado, here they are:

Papertrey colors used are Royal Velvet, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest and Pure Poppy.

Thanks for looking - hope you are having a great day!

Papertrey Make It Monday #115: Beyond Paper with Impression Plates

Hello! I am participating in Papertrey's Make It Monday #115, which is all about impressing an image onto some form of media OTHER than cardstock. You can read all about the challenge over on Nicole's blog here. I have been thinking what in the world I could impress and suddenly I remembered that I had tried using an impression plate on the acetate our stamps come on before. So I pulled a sheet of it out of my stash (yes, I save them just for occasions like this!). I could not get much of an impression with any of the PTI impression plates I own, so I tried the Cuttlebug polkadot embossing folder - it always gives a nice deep impression. And it worked! Now, how to incorporate it onto my card...

I decided to use the Birthday Styles stamp set and overlay the balloons with the clear acetate to give them a glossy feel. It turned out alright, but next time, I think I would die cut the acetate with the balloon die instead of hand cutting it. I guess it's good to learn from your mistakes. :)
So here's my card:
It looks ok, I guess. I used Select white cardstock, pure poppy, berry sorbet, hibiscus burst, sweet blush and harvest gold inks with the Birthday Style stamp set. Hope you like it!

Boutique Accessory Felt Hair Clips

Hello! I have spent the whole day working on some new felt hair clips for my etsy store. I used the Papertrey Boutique Accessories stamp set and die, and the Clever Barrettes Die. I used a mixture of Papertrey felt and some other I had in my stash. Here are some pictures of the finished clips:
Heart 2 Heart butterfly and hearts
Flipping Out Sandal
Flower Fusion Flower (not sure which one)
No particular die - just circles

 Strawberry Patch Dies
These were fun to make, but took quite a while since I was making them up as I went. Next time I make them I think it will go faster. I'll probably make another of each for my granddaughter.
This last one I made a while ago. Lots of hand work on this one, but I like the results. You can see some felt clips I made before Papertrey came out with their Clever Barrettes dies here. Now I need to upload these pictures to my etsy site. Thanks for looking!
