Waltzingmouse Pajama Party Challenge #4

Hello! I am staying up late to play at the WMS Pajama Party tonight! The fourth and final challenge is the Bedtime Story Sketch. This is the sketch we were supposed to use for our card:
I turned the sketch vertical, used the Labels #14 again (as I used in Challenge #3), and stamped and colored the elf from Elf Made using copics. I stamped the peppermint from Elf Made for my scattered image around the label. I mounted the label with foam tape.

Can't wait to see what others come up with! Thanks for stopping by!

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party Challenge #3

Hello! I am staying up late to play at the WMS Pajama Party tonight! The third challenge is Old Pajamas - we were supposed to use an older WMS Christmas set for a card or project. I pulled out Holiday Labels #14 and Compliments Of The Season for my card. It's been quite a while since I've used that label die, and it felt good to pull it out again - such a pretty shape! I stamped the frame in green, then clear embossed it. I stamped the sentiment from Compliments of the Season in Versamark and embossed it with Ranger Red Tinsel embossing powder. I mounted the label with foam tape onto a card covered with some Christmas patterned sheet music paper.

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party Challenge #2

Hello! I am staying up late to play at the WMS Pajama Party tonight! The second challenge is Wrap It Up Warm - to make a gift bag or box with a cozy feel. I have had several small Pringles cans sitting around, just waiting to find a use for. My husband takes one each day in his lunch, so they are accumulating quickly! I thought this would be great container for some Christmas candy to give as a gift for neighbors. With the plastic lid, it would stay fresh. So I wrapped the can with some kraft paper stamped with the stitched quilt block from Secret Santa in red. I stamp a couple of the sentiments from the same set along the top and bottom. I also cut a circle with my circle Nestabilities and stamped it with Elf Approval stamp for the lid.  I think the kraft paper paired with the stitched block looks very warm and cozy!

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party Challenge #1

Hello! I am staying up late to play at the WMS Pajama Party tonight! The first challenge is Scandi Tags - to make a tag in red and white using Scandinavian style images. It seemed like Nordic Winter was a natural choice for this tag, and I used my new Picot #2 die for the tag. The tag is a little on the small side, but will work well with a small gift I think.

Baby Bootie Moccasins

Hello! I wanted to share a pair of leather baby bootie moccasins I made this week with the Papertrey Baby Bootie dies. There was a question on the Papertrey forum about cutting leather with the stitching dies, and I happened to have some thin leather on hand and I thought I would give it a try. The leather - which was very thin - cut beautifully with the dies. I thought I would use the fringe version of the bootie, but did not take the time to watch Erin's video on the assembly of the fringe. So of course I put them on wrong! But it worked out ok, because it gave me a surface to do some beading on. Now I'm not much of a beader - it was hard trying to get them lined up! - but I took a stab at it anyway. The leather puckered up a bit more than the felt around the bottom edges because it is so thin. I tried to use bright colors for the floss and the beads, similar to what I've seen in other moccasins. Not sure I would really use these on a baby other than a quick photo shoot - they are very delicate. But I was pleased with how they turned out.

Hope you enjoy them! On to another challenge.... :)
